Marshawn Terrell Lynch ( born April 22, 1986 in Oakland, California) is an American professional American football player in the position of running backs. He plays for the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League ( NFL).
College career
Lynch attended University of California at Berkeley, where he played for the Golden Bears College Football.
Marshawn Lynch, who as a freshman was substitute for starter JJ Arrington in 2004, ran 71 times with the ball and scored a total of 628 yards and eight touchdowns. In addition, he started 19 passes for two touchdowns and 147 yards.
2005 Arrington ended his college years and Lynch was the starter as a running back the Golden Bears. Although he had to sit two games because of injuries, he reached 1246 yards on 196 runs and ten touchdowns, and caught 15 passes for 125 yards. In the Las Vegas Bowl 2005 Lynch reached 194 yards and three touchdowns, and was for this achievement Most Valuable Player ( MVP) of the game chosen.
2006 Lynch has been appointed to the All- Pac-10 selection and the AFCA All- America team, and honored as All- Pac -10 Offensive Player of the Year. His last game for the California Golden Bears made Lynch on December 28, 2006. In the Holiday Bowl, he scored two touchdowns against Texas A & M and has shared the award of the Co -Offensive Player of the Game with his teammate Nate Longshore.
On January 2, 2007 Lynch announced to end his college career and to go in the NFL Draft.
Pro career
He was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the first round in 2007. In his first season in the NFL, he was equal to the service provider at the Bills and erlief 1,115 yards and seven touchdowns. He also caught 18 passes for 184 yards. In the game against the Cincinnati Bengals on November 4, 2007, he ran 29 times for 153 yards with the ball and a touchdown.
The 2008 season ended with 1,036 yards Lynch ( eight touchdowns ) out runs and 300 yards on 47 catches pass ( a touchdown ). He was nominated as substitutes for the injured Chris Johnson for the Pro Bowl for this service.
For a fourth- round pick, he moved on 6 October 2010 by the Buffalo Bills to the Seattle Seahawks.
In the 2013 season, he played a major role in the collection of the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl XLVIII. He latched on to 1257 yards and twelve touchdowns.
