Marsupella
Marsupella is a moss genus of order Jungermanniales.
Features
The plants grow more or less upright. The leaves are grown across, are on the stems and are divided by a short cut into two lobes. Lower leaves do not occur. The cell edges are thickened triangular. Each cell contains two or three oil body. The spores have a diameter of eight to twelve microns.
Distribution and systematics
Marsupella is a genus of Gymnomitriaceae family. Worldwide there are about 45 species which occur mainly in the northern hemisphere and grow in moist, lime-free rock. In Europe there are 17 species, of which the following also in Germany:
