Martin Hašek

Martin Hašek (born 11 October 1969 in Pardubice) is a Czech football player and football coach.

Playing career

Hašek began at RH Pardubice, 1980, he went to VCHZ Pardubice. His military service, he graduated from 1990 to 1992 at RH Cheb, then he played for six years with Slovan Liberec. In the summer of 1997, he moved to Sparta Prague. In the following years he also chaired the national squad. In 2001 he went to Vienna Austria, 2003 for half a year to SK Sturm Graz. The 2004 season he spent at Dynamo Moscow, where he met his former coach Jaroslav Hřebík. After Hřebík had been released, the new coach Hasek pushed from the B team.

In January 2005 he went as a contract Amateur back to Slovan Liberec, in March of the same year he joined his former club Sparta Prague, where he signed a one-year contract on July 1, 2005, which was extended for one more season in the summer of 2006. In September 2006 he joined, however, to Marila Pribram, according to the 2006/07 season he finished his professional career. On the side he played in the fall of 2007 or for the Prague fifth-tier FC Přední Kopanina.

Hašek was a defensive midfielder with fighting spirit, good technique and good build-up play.

Coaching career

In the first half of the season 2007/ 08 was Hašek assistant coach with the B team of Sparta Prague in the Czech league third, the second round he took over the FK Banik Sokolov in the second league. Early 2009 Hašek returned back to Sparta Prague in order henceforth to work as an assistant to Jozef Chovanec.

Private

His brother is well-known hockey goalie Dominik Hasek. Martin Hašek is married and has two sons, both play football at Slovan Liberec.
