Martin Häusling

Martin Häusling ( born March 26, 1961 in Bad Wildungen ) is a German politician ( Alliance 90/The Greens ). He was elected to the parliament of Hesse and 2009 in the European Parliament in 2003 and 2009.

Curriculum vitae

Häusling is a trained agricultural technicians and manages his farm cellar in the bathroom Zwestener Waldhof district Oberurff since 1988 according to organic guidelines. Since 1999, the milk is processed in the dairy farm.

Party

Häusling is since the founding of the Green Party member in Hesse in 1979 and since 1981 Chairman of the Group of his party in the municipal council of Bad Arolsen.

Member of Parliament

It was from 2003 to 2008 Member of the Hesse Landtag and professional affairs spokesman for Agriculture, Forestry, Hunting, Europe, consumer protection. Häusling was a member of the Committee on the Environment, Agriculture and Consumer Protection and the Committee on European Affairs. After he had lost his seat at the state election in 2008, he moved in with the regional elections on 18 January 2009 at number 12 on the state list of the Greens again in the Hessian Landtag. On 14 July 2009 he resigned from the parliament and Daniel May was his substitutes.

In the European elections on June 7, 2009 Martin Häusling was elected on the tenth Rank of Alliance 90/The Greens in the European Parliament. He belongs to the Group of the Greens / EFA and agricultural policy spokesman.

He is a member of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development and there Coordinator for The Greens / EFA, the Budgetary Control Committee, the Delegation to the EU-Chile Joint Parliamentary Committee and the Delegation to the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly.
