Martin Jarvis (actor)

Martin Jarvis OBE (* August 4, 1941 in Cheltenham ) is an English actor and voice actor.

He was at the Whitgift School and studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, after which he was mainly active as a theater actor. In 1965, his first television role came in the series Doctor Who.

His activities as a speaker began on BBC Radio 4 in the 1980s. He read columns and radio plays. In the 1990s, he was heard in animated series and from 2003 also in computer games.

He is married to Rosalind Ayres since 1974. In 2000 he was appointed an Officer of the British Empire.
