Martín Zúñiga

Martín Zúñiga ( born August 6, 1970 in Tampico, Tamaulipas ), also known by the nickname El Pulpo (Eng. The octopus ) is a former Mexican football player at the position of the goalkeeper.

Life

" El Pulpo " Zúñiga started his professional career in the 1992/93 season with the Tigres de la UANL, for whom he played until 1995. He then moved to Club Deportivo " Chivas " of Guadalajara, with whom he won the Mexican championship in the summer of 1997. In the same year he came to his only use for the Mexican national team.

Although he left Guadalajara in 1999 and still played for several other clubs, he always returned to " Chivas ". He stood in the 2001/ 02 season once again at Chivas Guadalajara under contract and in the 2005 season, he ended his active career in the U.S. Major League Soccer at CD Chivas USA.
