Martinitoren

The Martini Tower is the bell tower of the Martinikerk in Groningen. It is 97 meters high and has several balconies from which you can see over the city. The ascent is via a steep spiral staircase that leads up to the top. Until then there are several hundred steps. The tower only has a Carillon twelve Läute - bells from the years 1577/78, 1962 and 1996 in the beat tones fis0 ( ≈ 7850 kg ), gis0, ais0, h0, ck1, dis1, ek1, fis1, gk1, ak1, h1 and cis2. The bells are rung up today by hand.
