Mary Scotvold

Mary Batdorf Scotvold is an American figure skating coach.

She won the national title in 1959 at the newcomers. She later toured with the Ice Follies ice show and married the pair of running Champion Ronald Ludington. With him she has a son. After her divorce from Ludington it began in the mid 1970s in Rockton, Illinois to work as a trainer. Her students included the young Scott Hamilton. She collaborated with Evy Scotvold, whom she later married. Both trained in Janesville, Wisconsin before they went to the Boston area in 1986. Scotvold became known. Particularly through its collaboration with Paul Wylie and Nancy Kerrigan, who with her husband led to Olympic medals together Mary Scotvold was responsible for the choreography especially while her husband cared more about the technical field.

Mary Scotvolds twin sister Anne Batdorf Militano is also a trainer and a former figure skater.
