Mary Upton

Mary Upton (* May 30, 1946 in Kilrush, County Clare ) is an Irish politician of the Irish Labour Party and sitting since October 1999 in the Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Irish Parliament.

Mary Upton visited the site Cola Mhuire in Ennis, studied at University College, Galway, and University College, Dublin.

When her brother, the Deputy Pat Upton, in Februarer died in 1999, Mary Upton successfully ran in the elections for the renewal of his vacant seat in Dáil Éireann. At the next regular election of 2002 and again in 2007 she was able to defend their mandate in each case. Before the start of her political career, she worked as a lecturer.
