Massimo Serato
Massimo Serato (actually Giuseppe Segato; born May 31, 1916 in Oderzo; † 22 December 1989 ) was an Italian actor.
Life
Serato his studies broke off to enroll at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia; soon began his film career in 1938 and he was until his death a sought-after performer, who starred in almost 170 films. Initially cast as athletic hero of many films, he later often played the villain role for which he seemed predestined by his clean-cut face. Already in the 1940s he was seen primarily in adventure films, was one of the institutions of sandals film and appeared in numerous Spaghetti Westerns. In addition, he was also seen in a number of photo novels.

Privately, he was for a time romantically involved with Anna Magnani, with whom he also has a son, Luca.
