Community partnerships

  • Austria Maria Pfarr ( Austria ) since 1984
  • United States Lincoln ( USA, Massachusetts) 1989

The partnership with the Austrian Maria parish grew out of the tradition of the parade giants. The Mariapfarrer Samson traveled in 1982 to a huge meeting in Matadepera. In the following year some Catalan giants from Matadepera came to Mary Parish. This led to community partnership, which was celebrated in 1984 in Matadepera. It was followed by many more mutual visits.
