Matalascañas - or Playa de Matalascañas ( beach of ~ ) - is a Spanish resort on the Atlantic. The place is also often rendered as Torre de la Higuera. He belongs to the municipality of Almonte.
Matalascañas was built in the 1970s as a residential area on the National Park Coto de Doñana in Huelva province. In the beginning it was used by the Spaniards - mostly from Seville - only as a summer holiday abode, there are now but throughout the year offers.
