The Aeropuerto Internacional de Matecaña the airport is the Colombian city of Pereira. He belongs to the city of Pereira, who is also responsible for the operation of the building. However, there are also a few international connections.

The passenger terminal was built in 1974 and inaugurated on 22 October 1976. In 1982 it was expanded. Since December 1991, the passengers can board on passenger boarding bridges. The cargo terminal was created in 1979 and 1985/86 extended.
