Mateo Pavlović

Mateo Pavlović ( born June 9, 1990 in Mostar ) is a Croatian football player. Since January 2013 he is under contract at Werder Bremen. He currently plays on loan at Ferencvaros Budapest.

Career

Association

Pavlović received his professional debut in his youth club NK Zagreb on November 9, 2008, while playing against HNK Hajduk Split ( 0:4 ). In subsequent seasons, he was a regular player and played in both the League and the Croatian Cup competition.

In April 2011 it was announced that there was already international interest in him and scouts from Bayern Munich, Werder Bremen, VfB Stuttgart and Zenit St Petersburg were watching him.

1 January 2013 changed Pavlović for 1.2 million euros to Werder Bremen. He signed a contract until 30 June 2016. His debut for Werder he gave on 23 match day match against FC Bayern Munich ( 1:6 ) when he was brought on by coach Thomas Schaaf in 46 minutes for Aaron Hunt.

In February 2014 Pavlović was loaned until season's end to the Hungarian first division club Ferencvaros Budapest.

National

Earlier in his career Pavlovic playing for the U -17 Bosnia - Herzegovina, in 2008 before he decided to play for Croatia. In March 2013 he was first nominated for the senior team.
