Mathis Mathisen

Mathis Mathisen ( born April 4, 1937 in Lillesand in the Norwegian part of the country Sørlandet ) is a Norwegian writer.

Life and career

Mathisen graduated after leaving school trained as a teacher and for a time was engaged as such. He first wrote several books about foreign cultures and peoples. Also known as author of children 's literature, he came into existence and was known for his quality as a good children's book author. 1988 Mathis Mathiesen received the litteraturkritikerlags barnebokpris Norsk ( Norwegian Literature Critics Award for children 's literature ) for the children's book Ishmael. This book was translated by Ruth Stöbling also in the German language and published in 1988 in the children's book publisher in Berlin.

In addition, he also worked as a screenwriter in appearance, as in the Norwegian film gate skyld For 1983 and 1968 at Trilopties.
