Mathraki (Greek Μαθράκι (n. sg. ) ) Is a small Greek island in the Ionian Sea, which belongs to the archipelago of islands Diapontia and thus is part of the Ionian Islands. The only about three square mile island (4 km long, up to 1.5 km wide) is about ten kilometers from the north-west coast of Corfu. The highest elevation is 150 meters, the Vouno or Samothrace.

By 2010 Mathraki was with some small surrounding islets an independent municipality (Greek kinotita κοινότητα ) within the Prefecture of Corfu, since the administrative reform in 2010 it belongs to the new municipality Corfu, where it has since formed one of 15 community districts.

Mathraki was used for agriculture in the 17th century by inhabitants Othonis, but only from the late 19th century they moved some families completely on the island. Today live on Mathraki than 300 inhabitants, mostly in the two small hamlets Mathraki Ano (Upper Mathraki ) and Kato Mathraki (sub Mathraki ). They live from agriculture ( mainly olives) and the still very little tourism, partly by remittances of emigrant population.

A (weather permitting) regular ferry service to the Corfiot capital Kerkyra and in the summer months with the resorts on the north west coast of Corfu. A nice beach near the pier offers itself for a swim. Most visitors stay only a few hours on the island, they are few taverns available.
