Mato Grosso (code: MT ) is a state in the interior of Brazil. It belongs to the Centro - Oeste. Its capital is Cuiabá.

Geography

Mato Grosso has a short border with Bolivia National in the southwest. In addition, it is bordered (clockwise starting from the west ) to the Brazilian states of Rondônia, Amazonas, Pará, Tocantins, Goiás and Mato Grosso do Sul.

The capital is Cuiabá, with about 500,000 inhabitants. Other smaller cities in Mato Grosso et al Várzea Grande, Rondonópolis, Cáceres and Sinop.
