Mats Rubarth ( born January 25, 1977 in Örebro ) is a Swedish football player. The midfielder, who together with Claes Cronqvist holds the record of the Swedish Allsvenskan with seven dismissals, in 2004 came to an insert in the Swedish National Jersey. It also occurs as a musician in appearance and published in 2001 under the name Rubarth an EP.

Career

Rubarth began his career in the youth of IK Sturehov. In 1992, the midfielder in the youth department of Örebro SK, where he aufrückte 1997 in the professional squad and came to his debut in Allsvenskan and the UEFA Cup. First, he came almost exclusively as a substitute for use of 17 games in the 1998, he played only four from the start. It was only during the following season he was able to capture a regular place and managed in the 2000, as the new coach Mats Jingblad began as the right-footed left winger, the establishment in the starting eleven.

Before the 2001 Rubarth moved to league rivals AIK. After some initial difficulties he won also a regular place. Through his aggressive style of play, he flew several times from the square, the blocking times meant usually the only downtime. In the 2003 he made positive attention to himself than he could achieve ten goals this season and was thus simplifying internal top scorer. Subsequently, he was appointed in the spring of 2004 in the Swedish national team and came on 22 January 2004 to his only use of the national team, when the country selection against Norway a 0:3 - conceded defeat.

As AIK were relegated in the Superettan in winter 2004, Rubarth remained loyal and contributed to the club as a regular player in the midfield for direct re-emergence at. After an injury in May 2007, he came in the 2007 only ten games of the season, but could fight for a starting place after his return to the square. Shortly before the end of the following season, he announced his resignation after eight years at the club from Solna.
