Matthew Hale (jurist)

Matthew Hale ( born November 1, 1609 Alderley, † December 25, 1676 ) was a jurist and statesman.

Matthew Hale was under Charles I. trustee, 1652 Sergeant at law and in 1653 Judge of common pleas. 1671 he was appointed to the King's Bench of Charles II to the Lord Chief Justice.
