Matthias Cuntz

Matthias Cuntz (born 4 May 1990 in Karlsruhe ) is a German football player.

Career

The son of former KSC professionals Günther Cuntz began as a child in Karlsruhe Durlach - Aue for SpVgg playing football. At age nine, he moved to Karlsruher SC. He played very successfully in the youth teams of the club and attended a special school talent with the KSC connected Otto -Hahn -Gymnasium. At the international U -12 Junior World Cup Adidas, the KSC - Youth 2002 won, he was awarded as the best player of 2004 and he has even been used in the U-15 national team of the DFB. Also at higher DFB selections Karlsruhe promising youngster was invited, but he came to no further use.

After Cuntz had risen to the U19 the club, he joined the second team of the KSC and is already included in the second half as a reserve player in the squad to the first team in the 2nd Bundesliga. As ran 21 on matchday Marco Engelhardt in the match against FC St. Pauli in danger of being sent off, he was replaced in the 61st minute and Cuntz came to his first professional use.

In summer 2012, Cuntz joined the Austrian second division side SC Rheindorf Altach. After a year and 16 missions he left Austria again and joined the third division Eintracht Trier.
