Matthias Volz

Matthias Max Volz ( born May 4, 1910 in Schwabach, † 26 August, 2004 gap ) was a German gymnast. His home club was the TV 1848 Schwabach.

At the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, he won a gold medal in the team all-around and one bronze medal in the individual competitions in horse jump and gymnastics rings. He, along with other medal winners and participants in the second part ( " Festival of Beauty " ) of the partially influenced propaganda documentary film from 1938 can be seen by the German director Leni Riefenstahl titled " Olympia" produced about the games of 1936.
