Maurice Gransart

Maurice Gransart ( born July 8, 1930 in Marseille, † April 27, 2013 ) was a French football player.

Career

Gransart began in 1938 in his hometown of Marseille with the football games. He ran one after the other on for the amateur teams PSC Marseille, Marseille CS and Crédit Lyonnais Marseille, before he signed for first division club Olympique Marseille in 1948. His debut in professional football, he reached when he ran aground 14 April 1949 at age 18 in a 4-2 win against FC Metz in the highest French league. By September 1951, the 176 -centimeter-tall football player had to wait for further use, a little later, however, managed to jump to the key players on the right side of defense. With Marseille, he managed to move into national cup final in 1954; the players ran on in the final, although he was unable to prevent the 1-2 defeat against OGC Nice.

In the same year he beat out an offer of RC Paris and decided to stay with the club. At the end of the 1955/56 season, the magazine France Football Grasnart stood out as the best right-back of the league; the jump in the national team but he never reached. The professional association remained his faithful, as Marseille 1959 relegation to the second division. After a last game on 21 May 1962 with a 2-0 against the CA Paris Grasnart ended the age of 31 after 231 first division matches with four gates and 28 second division games with a goal his career; he had missed with his team before the revival. With Roland Gransart the son of the late 2013 Maurice took the same profession and also worked as a coach.
