Maurizio Costanzo
Maurizio Costanzo ( born August 28, 1938 in Rome ) is an Italian journalist, television presenter, actor, scriptwriter and director.
Life
Costanzo began his professional career in 1956 in the journal " Paese Sera "; as a journalist, he served as chief of the magazine " L' Occhio " and 1978-1981 "La Domenica del Corriere ", worked as a radio writer ( Canzoni e nucole ) and since 1962 as a television writer ( with Cabaret delle 22 he founded the Italian talk show tradition ), organized festivals, wrote lyrics ( " Se telefonando " by Mina ) and plays ( eg Il marito addittivo, Cielo, mio marito! , and Vuoti a render ) and moderated numerous items, but his breakthrough in 1976, his greatest success six years later took place. In 1977, he staged with Melodrammore his only film as a director, a throwback to the melodramatic crime films of the 1950s.

Since 2011, Costanzo professor at the Università degli Studi Niccolò Cusano.
The director Saverio Costanzo is his son.
