Maurizio Pisati

Maurizio Pisati ( born 1959 in Milan ) is an Italian composer and guitarist.

Pisati attended the classes of Adriano Guarnieri and Giacomo Manzoni at the Conservatory of Milan, where he studied musical analysis, composition, counterpoint, harmony, and music history. In addition, he was a student of Salvatore Sciarrino in Città di Castello.

From 1983 to 1989 he was a member of the Laboratorio trio. Then he founded the music ensemble ZONE and 1997 the record label LArecords. Since 1988 Pisati was professor of composition at the Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto, later at the Conservatory of Bologna. He also gives courses and master classes, inter alia, in Tokyo, Reykjavik, Milan, 2004-06 in Frascati and in the summer of 2006 at the Brisbane University.
