Max Günthör ( born August 9, 1985 in Friedrichshafen, Germany ) is a German national volleyball player.

Career

Max Günthör began his career in his hometown at VfB Friedrichshafen. After youth coach Helmut Zirk had discovered the younger brother of Urs Günthör, " Mäxe " In 2001, in the "Young Stars" team with coach Söhnke Hinz. In 2004 he made ​​the jump to the first team. In the same year he won the junior national team to third place at the European Championship. Over the next three years he won the Double in 2007 and the Champions League with VfB, but was hardly used. That's why he joined the 2007/08 season to Düren. In 2007 he also made ​​his debut in the senior national team, with whom he finished fifth at the European Championships in 2007.
