Vencislav Simeonov

Wenzeslaw Simeonov ( Bulgarian Венцеслав Симеонов, English transcription Ventzislav Simeonov, Italian transcription Ventceslav Simeonov, born February 3, 1977 in Plovdiv ) is a Bulgarian- Italian volleyball player.

Career

Simeonow began his career in 1996 in Piemonte Volley. With the club he won the 1997 and 1998 European Top Teams Cup. He then played one season in the second division Indomita Salerno and Virtus volley Fano. In 2000 he moved to first division Gabeca volley Montichiari. In the season 2002/2003 of the diagonal attacker was active again in Piemonte, before moving to Pallavolo Padua. 2004 reached the Bulgarian-born with the Italian national team the finals of the Olympic tournament and won the silver medal. A year later he moved to Pallavolo Piacenza. With Piacenza he was defeated in 2008 in the Champions League final against VK Zenit -Kazan. After that he went to Tonno Callipo Vibo Valentia. After another season in Padua in 2012, he was obliged by the German Bundesliga club VfB Friedrichshafen.
