Max Weber (athlete)

Max Weber ( born January 24, 1922 in Lauchagrund; † August 29, 2007 in Leipzig ) was a German track and field athlete and Olympian, who - starting for the GDR - in the late 1950s to 1960 in the 50 - km walk was successful. At the European Championships 1958, he won the bronze medal ( 4:19:58,6 h). In the 1960 Olympics he finished 13th ( 4:44:48 h). He started each in a joint crew of both German states.

Max Weber was a member of the SC Dynamo Berlin. In its competition time, he was 1.82 m tall and 65 kg.
