Maybe Baby is a British comedy film directed by Ben Elton in 2000. The script was written by Ben Elton based on the own novel " Inconceivable ".

Action

The couple Lucy and Sam Bell want to have a child. Numerous attempts fail, the magic rituals of the friendly Druscilla prove to be ineffective. Also, doctors can not help the spouses.

Sam is increasingly dissatisfied with his work as an editor at the BBC. The friendly Druscilla brings him the idea to write a comedy about a childless couple. The final pulse delivers his boss one as Sam - in his opinion - reject moronic screenplay. The boss calls him and asks him sarcastically to your own scripts.

Lucy does not like the idea of the script. It forbids her husband to realize it. Sam still writing the script, which he used sentences and phrases, which he finds in secret mitgelesenen diary of his wife.

When Lucy visits the hospital, which hosts the filming, she recognizes some of the wording again. She leaves her husband and goes into an affair with the lead actor in the film shot. The film will be successful.
