McDonald (crater)

McDonald is a small impact crater on the moon northwestern front in the plane of the Mare Imbrium. It is located north of the crater Lambert and northwest of Timocharis.

The crater was officially named in 1973 by the IAU after the American banker and philanthropist William Johnson McDonald and the Scottish Selenographen Thomas Logie MacDonald.
