The player and up to three computer controlled opponent choose from a fixed pool the number of people to colonize an island and a boot sector. The sectors differ in the type and number of resources and represent a key strategic element

From the available number of persons the player shares his pawns to the development of either a military defensive and offensive weapons, to reduce the available resources in the sector, to arms production and to combat troops. The development and production speed depends on the scheduled number of game characters. The number of people is the most important resource, not banded game characters gradually increase.

The stage of development of the people in a sector is shown as a year, in addition to the appearance of the building changed. Depending on stage of development and resources in a sector, new developments are available. Finished designs can be discarded and re-engineered to reflect the currently available resources in the sector.
