Meike Kroeger ( born July 21, 1986 in Berlin) is a former German high jumper.

Life

Kroeger was in her youth initially more fighter and also contested competitions in the triple jump before they opted for the high jump. Her first international assignment was the European Junior Championships in 2005 in Kaunas. After high school she made ​​in 2006 then a voluntary social year in Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan. There she worked in a home for street children, learned Russian and met the previous high jump European champion Igor Paklin.

Then it was twice, 2007 and 2008 German junior champion and finished at the German Championships in 2008 with 1.87 m for third place. In the indoor season 2008/ 09 she jumped at the German Indoor Championships 1,92 m and qualified together with Ariane Friedrich for the European Indoor Championships in Turin.
