Locations

My life & I was shot from 1999 to 2007 on behalf of RTL by the production company Sony Pictures Film and Television Production GmbH. The series takes place in Cologne. However, many scenes in a family house. Indeed, it was only in the pilot episode (1999) in a real family house, built in Cologne, rotated. In the former MMC Studios 14 and 15 Hürth, the house was rebuilt as faithfully as possible inside and out. There, the remaining episodes were filmed. The seen in the series roof scenes were filmed in a specially prepared converted container on the grounds of the MMC Hürth in the open air and in the studio. Fifty percent of the series were outside shooting. So some local shops that actually exist in Cologne, and the school in the series can be seen. The most famous include here the Hansa School Cologne ( which in the series is also called so ), ( which are called simple in the series " Café" ) that anyway and the limit as well (which was called the Traumathek in 5.Staffel same way, but then was renamed the 6th season in Nikothek ).
