Meindl (company)

The Lukas Meindl GmbH & Co.KG, known under the brand Meindl, is a German manufacturer of shoes, especially walking and mountain boots with headquarters in the Bavarian Kirchanschöring, Traunstein district.

History

First mentioned in documents in 1683 Kirchanschöring the shoemaker Peter Meindl. Since then, always exerts a Meindl from the shoemaker in the place. The family business is today, the sons Alfons Meindl led by Lars and Lukas Meindl, and is still in Kirchanschöring resident.

The distribution of shoes for the end user is done exclusively through retailers. In 2000, the company had 400 employees in Germany and 160 employees in Hungary. The turnover in 1999 amounted to just over 100 million DM in 2012 started the construction of a new logistics center.

Products
