My girlfriend Sybille is the DEFA Studio for Feature Films, group "Berlin", produced comedy from 1967.
Action
The film is about a group of tourists from the GDR on a Black Sea cruise and turns on the one hand to the comic figure of Hurtig, on the other hand, the unconventional love story of young Ronny and Sybille. The tour group consists mostly of "Privileged " ( doctors, professors, etc. with family). Hurtig (main role played by Rolf Herricht ) jumps for a friend at short notice as a replacement guide one with which he is already overwhelmed clearly on the flight from Berlin -Schoenefeld to Odessa. Later on the cruise ship " Ivan Franko " he gets by his lack of organization, the constant criticism of the " main tour guide " as well as some of the participants of the travel group. After a day at the beach in Batumi, where Hurtig trying to marry off both ( Ronny advertisement of Sybille not out, first, because he is interested in on board for a beautiful blonde ), Sybille and Ronny miss the departure of the cruise ship. Also Hurtig remains on the lookout for them. Independently, they are now trying to get across the country at the Georgian / Russian coast to the nearest port to Sochi, and enjoy doing some adventure. Especially emphasized in particular the hospitality, friendliness and generosity of the local population in the Soviet Union. Finally, after a few days all return safely on board the ship and ultimately by air back to Berlin Schönefeld, where Ronny and Sybille decide to meet again, and tour guide Hurtig finds amazed that his " new friend ", a dog that had followed him since a ride on the railway line between Batumi and Sochi, is already sitting in the taxi.
Background
The cruise ship shown in the film " Ivan Franko " was one of a series of five cruise ships, which were produced for the Soviet Union as reparations in the 1960s by the Mathias -Thesen -Werft in Wismar. One of them, the current Marco Polo ( ex. Alexandr Pushkin ), is still in operation.
