Hans-Joachim Preil

Hans -Joachim Preil ( born June 26, 1923 in Pomerania, Pomerania, † November 2, 1999 in Berlin) was a German playwright, director and comedian. He was a nephew of the Saxon folk singer and humorist Arthur Preil.

Life

1939 Preil began training at drama school in Berlin and was subsequently at various theaters in Quedlinburg, Aschersleben, Bernburg (Saale ) Magdeburg and engaged. He was senior director in Bernburg and Magdeburg before he moved to Berlin in 1961 by Magdeburg and in Babelsberg was an assistant director. 1993 moderated Preil the broadcast " Preil to eleven " in Berlin hundred, 6

Preil gained immense popularity in the GDR by the Sketch partnership with Rolf Herricht. Met the two of them for the first time in 1951 in Bernburg, their first jointly listed Sketch ( " The game of chess " ) followed in 1953. Almost three decades (up to Mr. Report Creation death in 1981 ) led Herricht and Preil together on skits like Hoppe Garden, the Preil wrote. Preil himself took always the instructive role and Herricht played the naive, whose throw was outraged legendary " But, Mr. Preil ". Herricht and Preil were a well-known comedy duo of the GDR.

On May 13, 1977 Preil would receive the Art Prize of the GDR.

Preil was married four times. His first wife was Ursula Preil, born Wilhelm from Quedlinburg. With her he had two children, daughter Barbara ( called Bärbel ) and the daughter Gabriele, who died shortly after birth. Barbara is not following in the footsteps of her father, she now works as a remedial teacher. His third wife was the GDR Mannequin Margitta Lueder - Preil. They had been married twenty years. 1988 Preil married his fourth wife Bärbel, which was significantly younger than him. The two had met in the hospital, Bärbel Preil was a nurse. They moved in 1989 to the south of Berlin. Ten years later died Preil.

His daughter Martina -Maria Preil is a singer and also a comedian. Preil was not thrilled when she decided to become a singer. He wanted them to learn a decent job, which they ultimately pursued. In the broadcast of the GDR Martina -Maria Preil learned the job of the sound engineer.

Today his daughter is seen with various own programs on the stages of Berlin.

1988 Hans -Joachim Preil was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in silver.

His tomb is located at the Municipal Forest Cemetery in Berlin- Oberschoeneweide.
