Sol Meliá Hotels & Resorts S. A. (own spelling MELIÃ ) is a Spanish hotel chain, which was founded in 1956 by Gabriel Escarrer Juliá in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. In July 2010, Sol Meliá and Wyndham Worldwide announces the sale of the Hotel Tryp brand hotels in the U.S. group known. The hotels will continue to be operated by Sol Meliá as Tryp by Wyndham. In addition, a strategic alliance between the two hotel groups is provided.
