Menetou-Salon

Menetou Salon is a commune in the department of Cher, in the Centre region. The municipality is situated approximately 16 km north of Bourges at an altitude of 210 m. The 1664 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) are called Monestrosaloniens. Menetou Salon has an area of ​​37.66 km ².

The red wines (34 % of production) and the rosé (2%) are vinified from grapes of Pinot Noir (182 hectares of vineyards ). Both wines are fruity and delicate and should also be drunk young. The red wines can be drunk chilled at 12 to 14 ° C.
