Mercator School of Management (MSM ) is a 2005 Business School, founded by Anglo- American model on the Duisburg campus of the University of Duisburg -Essen. Namesake is the mathematician, geographer, philosopher, theologian and cartographer Gerhard Mercator.

All programs are accredited AQAS. The lectures will mainly be held in English.

The University of Duisburg - Essen offers the opportunity to meet as part of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the conditions for the maximum eligibility of studies for the auditing exam at the MSM.

The MSM, in cooperation with various companies and public entities in the project small business management that is aimed at entrepreneurs. Mercator School of Management has the right to award doctorates.

Ranking

The MSM has been classified in November 2005 in the CHE ranking as "research- strong" department of the University of Duisburg-Essen. The Logistics section applies after comparing the journal Logistik inside one of the leading in Europe. In the Business Week in March 2007, ranking the Mercator School of Management reached number 17 Handelsblatt recorded Additionally, 2009 University of Duisburg -Essen for the Department of Business Administration with a 21st place out .. The strongest research professor was Kimms of the MSM. The Centre for Higher Education Development ( CHE) also rated 2011, the MSM in the areas of " international publications " and " citations " at No. 2 in Germany .. In the Handelsblatt ranking of 2012, the MSM was rated the 17th place out of 107 business studies faculties in German-speaking show.

The student consultancy science in practice was (WIP) eV was founded in 1989 as a student consultancy and one of the founding members of the BDSU.

Career Fair

Since 2010, there will be a job fair at the Mercator School. There, several international companies present (eg, Franz Haniel & Cie.. , KPMG, BearingPoint, Amazon.com ) and talk about current issues and trends in the sector. Students thus have the opportunity to make a first contact for internships and permanent positions.
