The Merrebach is a left-side or western tributary of the Olmes, the completely in the field of Schwalm- Eder -Kreis ( Hesse, Germany ) runs.

Geography

The Merrebach rises south of Dorheim in the community Neuental. The source is located at about 235 meters above sea level. It flows Dorheim initially in a southerly direction to pivot slightly about 200 m to the northeast. This direction reserves the Merrebach in the next 600 meters, almost perpendicular to pivot in a northwesterly direction. After a further 300 meters of Merrebach swings north. After a further 1.5 kilometers of the Merrebach swings in a northeasterly direction. Here, the Merrebach flows south-east of Zimmersrode past after almost three kilometers. The next two kilometers flows Merrebach further to the northeast and strikes Haarhausen, a district of Borken. After half a mile the Merrebach opens into the Olmes.
