The Merriam- gopher ( Cratogeomys merriami, formerly Pappogeomys merriami ) is a occurring in eastern Mexico Species from the family of pocket gophers. The specific epithet honors the merriami American zoologists, ornithologists and ethnographers Clinton Hart Merriam.

Features
