Merril Bainbridge

Merril Bainbridge ( born June 2, 1968 in Melbourne) is an Australian pop singer who became internationally known through her ​​hit Mouth.

Biography

Merril Bainbridge began in her teenage years as a singer in cover bands. Later she worked as accompanying singer and so came into contact with the musicians and producers Sieuw. Mid-90s she got a record deal with Australian label Gotham and worked with Sieuw on her debut album. Their first song, the self-written Mouth was published in 1995, which was a big hit immediately and six weeks was No. 1 on the Australian charts. With the album The Garden she then debuted at # 5 on the album charts, it reached double platinum status. Another top 5 hit from the album was the song Under the Water.

Then she took Universal in 1996 under contract to bring out their album in the United States.
