Mesgen Amanov

Mesgen Amanov (born 6 September 1986 Dasoguz ) is a Turkmen Grandmaster of chess.

International Master he was in 2007, he was awarded the 2009 Grand Master title. He had his highest Elo rating represented by 2541 in September 2011. He is the highest rated player of his country and has Turkmenistan, among others in the Chess Olympiads in 2006, 2008 and 2010. Amanov is also a renowned chess teacher, working closely with Yury Shulman, also Grand Master, together. Chess club he played in Turkmenistan for Galkynysh. Since he lives in the United States, he plays there for Chicago Blaze.
