Mésigny

Mésigny is a commune in the French department of Haute- Savoie department in the Rhône-Alpes region.

Geography

Mésigny is 535 meters. M., about 13 km northwest of the town of Annecy (air line). The farming village extends on a gently sloping north-east slope of the valley of the Petites Usses, in the hills between the valleys of Usses and Fier, in Genevois.

History

The territory of Mésigny been inhabited since the Neolithic period and during the Roman period. From 1803 Mésigny belonged to the municipality of La Balme -de- Sillingy before it was raised again in 1825 into an independent municipality.
