The Mestsky fotbalový stadium Srbská ( colloquially: na Srbské Stadium ) is a football stadium in the Moravian city of Brno. It is located in Královo Pole district. The football club FC Zbrojovka Brno plays its home games from here. The name derives from the street Srbská ulice where the stadium is located. The capacity is 10,850 seats. The stadium consists of a covered grandstand, uncovered seats on the back straight, and standing room behind the goals.

History

The stadium was opened in 1952, the final of the Czechoslovak Athletics League took place in the first year instead of here. The football club Spartak Královo Pole who played 1961/62 (as TJ Spartak KPS Brno) in the 1st Czechoslovak league, it served as a home ground. Furthermore, in the 30,000 -seater round took place sand rail, and horse racing. Every five years, the stadium was Královo Pole, as the former name was, venue of the urban Spartakiade.

The mid-1990s left the resident football club SK LeRK the city and moved to Prostějov, the stadium was empty and was in a desolate state. In the late 1990s it was bought by the company DS Leasing, which was planning to build a baseball stadium on the site. However, when the stadium za Lužánkami in which played the first FC Brno, fell more and more, chose the city of Brno to acquire the stadium Královo poles and reconstruct it.
