Městský stadion (Ostrava)

The Mestsky stadium ( to German: municipal stadium) in the district of Ostrava Vitkovice is a multi-purpose stadium, which is mainly used for football matches. It is the home stadium of FC Vitkovice and host the annual athletics meeting Ostrava Golden Spike. Other international athletics competitions such as the U23 European Athletics Championships 2011 and the IAAF World Youth Championships were held in 2007 in it.

The stadium was opened in 1939 and seats 13,375 spectators, of which 3,375 are covered seats.
