Metanet Software is an independent Canadian developer team based in Toronto, which was founded in 2001 by Mare Sheppard and Raigan Burns.

Your so far the only game that appeared in 2004 is the Jump ' n' Run N, which received the Audience Award at the 2006 Independent Games Festival and the Audience Award at the Slamdance Guerilla Gamemaker Competition, among others in 2005 and, meanwhile, is in version 2.0. She is currently working on both a new game, codenamed Robotology that but definitely not a successor of N, as well as on a new version of N, in which further improvements are planned. Robotology should be characterized especially by the presence of ropes and the physically realistic effects such as Metanet announced in the course of an interview of the magazine PC Gamer.

Metanet announced that they will release freeware and shareware alternately in the future.
