The Meteo Media, Inc. is a company set up by the end of 1990 Joerg tile man weather service companies.

Organization

The various companies are organized under the umbrella of Jörg Kachelmann production AG, headquartered in Appenzell. The seat of the Meteo Media, Inc. is located since 1995 in Gais in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden.

Company Profile

The company operates with partners, a network of around 830 private weather stations alone in Germany and Switzerland, which means it can be paid for by the local communities, businesses, associations and sponsors. The company offers weather forecasts, severe weather warnings and meteorological reports.

In addition, the tile man Jörg production AG operates the marketing of meteorological data and relevant film and video production.

Shareholder

Company founder Jörg tile man holds a 49 percent stake, 38 percent is held by the investor Frank B. Werner ( editor of the " euro " and " Euro am Sonntag" ), former chief editor Peter SonntagsBlick Balsiger holds 9 percent. The remaining shares are held by employees securities without voting rights. The majority of voting rights is taken on by tile man.

End of August 2013 Meteo Media was acquired by MeteoGroup.

Since March 20, 2014 the name Meteo Media has disappeared from the market and weather finally absorbed into the MeteoGroup.

Services

Meteo Media also founded the storm warning system and WIND is a group of companies under the name Severe weather center, in Switzerland as a centrale meteo, in Germany ( Meteo Media GmbH Bochum ), Canada and the USA ( WeatherOK Inc., Weatherman Inc.) represented.
