Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley

Barnsley is a metropolitan borough in the metropolitan county of South Yorkshire in England. Administrative center is the city of Barnsley. For Borough also includes the villages of Darton, Hoyland, Penistone, Royston and Wombwell.

The reorganization of the limits and the capabilities of local authorities led in 1974 to form the Metropolitan Borough. Were fused while the County Borough Barnsley that.
