Mette Gravholt

Mette Bjorholm Gravholt ( born December 12, 1984 in Egtved ) is a Danish handball player who belonged to the squad of the Danish national team.

Career

In the club

Gravholt began at the age of five years playing handball at the Danish club Egtved IF. Another part of her hand balle training school, she received Ikast. In the season 2005/ 06 she was employed at the Danish first division club Kolding total of three times.

Later, she continued her career in the Danish second division Roskilde Håndbold. After the circle runner in the 2007/ 08 season with 218 hits was top scorer, it undertook the first division Slagelse FH. In Slagelse Gravholt first participated in a European competition. When the club because of financial difficulties the contractually guaranteed wage could not pay, she returned in December 2008 after Roskilde.

After Gravholt in the season revenues in 2009 / 10 216 Results for Roskilde, she took the first division team Tvis Holstebro under contract. In 2011 she was with Holstebro in the finals of the EHF Cup, which was lost to the league rivals FC Midtjylland Håndbold. 2013 was Gravholt again in the EHF Cup final and sat down, this time successfully against the French side Metz Handball by. In the 2012/13 season, she was voted into the All-Star Team of the Danish league.

In the National Team

Gravholts first major tournament with the Danish national team was the European Championship in 2012. During the tournament the Dane scored twelve goals in seven games. A year later she took part in the World Cup 2013 in Serbia. At the World Cup, they scored 23 goals in nine games and won the bronze medal.
