Michael Birkett, 2nd Baron Birkett

Michael Birkett, 2nd Baron Birkett ( born October 22, 1929) is a British peer, film producer, theater director and politician.

Life and career

Birkett was on 22 October 1929 as son of William Norman Birkett, 1st Baron Birkett and Ruth Nilsson born. He attended Stowe School and the University of Cambridge. He inherited on February 10, 1962 the title of Baron Birkett. Birkett was included in the Currier 's Company, as master 1975-1976.

He lost in 1999 by the House of Lords Act 1999 his seat in the House of Lords.

Family

Birkett was married from 13 October 1960 in his first marriage with Junia Elliott. She died in 1973. He married 1978 Gloria Taylor ( † 2001) and the couple have a son, Thomas Birkett ( b. 1982 ).
